INDEX: AWARD is the biggest design award in the world, and being among the Top Nominated in 2007 gives Whirlwind the chance to win 100,000 Euros (about $130,000) if our design is selected as the winner in one of the following five categories; BODY, HOME, WORK, PLAY, COMMUNITY. Whirlwind is in the BODY category.

INDEX: AWARD 2007 not only presents the very best international design – but all Top Nominated designs are also characterized by their capability to substantially improve people’s lives.

The Top Nominated designs have been selected by international celebrated design professionals representing among others The Museum of Modern Art, World Economic Forum, IDEO and Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

BEING TOP NOMINATED

Being Top Nominated gives Whirlwind the right to: • Participate in INDEX: AWARD Exhibition 2007 and the following international tour. • Participate in a series of INDEX: events in Copenhagen in August 2007, among others the INDEX: AWARD CEREMONY 2007. • Use the INDEX: logo (see www.indexaward.dk for more details) and promote Whirlwind and our design, The RoughRider^tm, as Top Nominated for INDEX: AWARD 2007.

INDEX: AWARD EXHIBITION

The Top Nominated designs for INDEX: AWARD 2007 will be exhibited on the Kongens Nytorv Square in central Copenhagen from August 17 – September 24, 2007, and subsequently be part of an international tour ending no later than August 2009.
